NFL Playoff Scenarios: AFC West Goes Through Kansas City Chiefs

NFL Playoff Scenarios: AFC West Goes Through Kansas City Chiefs
NFL playoff scenarios are clearing up with Week 14 winding down, including in the AFC West, where the Kansas City Chiefs remain in the lead.
With Sunday's 31-0 win over the Chiefs, the Chargers staved off elimination from playoff contention.
At 8-5, Kansas City remains one game ahead of San Diego and has a favorable schedule down the stretch.
If the Chiefs win out, they will find themselves as part of the AFC playoff picture.
If the Chargers win out, they will need a little help to sneak into the postseason.
San Diego would hold the tiebreaker with Kansas City, but the Chiefs could easily run the table to end any threat of finishing the season in a tie.
A big key to the stretch run in the AFC West will be the health of Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel.
Cassel is expected to be back on the field in Week 15 after being sidelined against the Chargers while recovering from an emergency appendectomy.
